Michael Rooks, Juror

Juror, Michael Rooks
High Museum of Atlanta

During his remarks, Michael Rooks applauded the efforts of organizations like the Raleigh Fine Arts Society that provide a platform for artists to share their work and provide valuable feedback  - an important recognition for artists where "being an artist is not easy and often without material reward". Mr. Rooks, in his words was “truly, blown away by the quality of work in the show”. In fact, he altered his planned remarks from talking about a current project he was involved with to a comprehensive comparison of selected works from the Exhibition to famous works of art in major museums throughout the US and abroad expounding on the parallels he saw in the artists’ visions and the inspiration they provided.  To hear his full remarks click here: Juror's Lecture
