Gathering at the North Carolina Museum of History - "History a la Carte"
When: Tuesday, October 16th, 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Where: North Carolina Museum of History, Parking is available in the Jones Street lot across from the State Archives building; entrance is on 5 East Edenton Street.
A gathering at the NC Museum of History will include a decorative arts cart reveal and interpretation of artifacts by museum staff member, Susan Horton, that Raleigh Fine Arts helped fund. A brief overview of North Carolina pottery, a preview of upcoming events from museum director, Ken Howard, and a guided tour of the World War I exhibit as well as a behind the scenes tour of artifacts is also included. If you have not yet seen the World War I exhibit, this is a great opportunity to do so before this award-winning exhibit closes on January 9, 2019. A light continental breakfast will be available at 9:00 am, and we will gather in the glass box for a brief program.
