 COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Promoting & Engaging in Local Arts

Every year the Raleigh Fine Arts Society conducts, promotes, assesses, and continually improves several major community projects, established to cultivate and enhance the arts. In addition, we strive to increase the RFAS Contribution and Endowment Funds to more fully fund our projects, and secure community grants as needed to ensure the success of our projects.

NORTH CAROLINA ARTISTS EXHIBITION

Held annually since 1965 for college students and adults throughout North Carolina.

LITERARY CONTEST

Held annually since 1978 for high school students in Wake County

CHORAL CELEBRATION

Held annually since 1999 for elementary school students in Wake County

 COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Since 1965

The Raleigh Fine Arts Society seeks to encourage public appreciation, enthusiasm, support, and understanding of the arts in order to further the growth and enhance the quality of the arts in the community, as we have done since our founding in 1965. We do this through volunteering in different capacities.

Volunteering for performing arts organizations and in museums, galleries, historic houses

Serving on arts boards in the city, county, and state

Sponsoring public lectures, exhibitions, and performances of art, literature, music, opera, and dance
